I am interested in the unconscious artistic instinct. I paint by building up layers and scratching or stripping back to reveal the hidden and the history. I am inspired by marks made by nature. I love the idea of mark making that is totally individual yet connects us all. It is the process of art making that I am drawn to.In the end, I want the painting to tell it's own story.
